James N. Edwards, Director of Contracting, Ft. Lewis, WA, Receives "Alley" Career Achievement Award from the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) Program

James N. Edwards, Director of Contracting, Fort Lewis, WA, was selected by the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) Program to receive the prestigious E. R. "Dick" Alley Career Achievement Award. This award was established in 1998 by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled, in honor and recognition of the late E. Richard "Dick" Alley, who provided more than 25 years of dedicated service to the JWOD Program as the Committee's Deputy Executive Director.

Marion E. Nelson, Linda C. Little, and Jack London Receive Outstanding Contributions Awards From Javits-Wagner-O'Day Program

Marion E. Nelson, Director of Business Operations, Fairchild Air Force Base, WA; Linda C. Little, Contracting Officer, Sheppard Air Force Base, TX; and Jack London, Product Executive - Chemical Suits/Shelters, Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, PA, have been selected to receive Outstanding Contributions Awards by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled. The Outstanding Contributions Award recognizes Federal employees for their efforts in creating employment opportunities on Federal contracts for people who are blind or have other severe disabilities under the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Program.

The Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) Program Honors its Outstanding Distributors for FY 2003

The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (the Committee) is pleased to announce that nine of its commercial office supply distribution partners have met the criteria for the Committee's "Outstanding Distributor" designation for Fiscal Year 2003, based on their continual efforts to support the JWOD Program. The commercial distributors that have achieved this distinction include three large businesses: Boise Cascade, Corporate Express and Office Depot; and six small businesses: Caddo Design & Office Products, KM2 Incorporated, Metro Office Products, Miller's Office Products, Northeast Office Supply Co. and Stephens Office Supply.
